Supporting Academic Research

Requesting an Academic License

To evaluate your request for an academic license, please provide us with the following details:

• Project description: content, duration, and intended use of COPRA
• Images/drawings of relevant design parts
• Number of licenses required (single thesis or course-wide)
• Institutional Affiliation: Formal request letter from your university specifying usage and timeframe and confirming university affiliation. Please use this document.

Important Notes

• Non-Commercial Use: Educational licenses are strictly for academic and non-commercial purposes.
• Academic affiliation: Academic licenses are intended for college and university members (students, professors, and so forth)
• Copyright: Academic users are requested to acknowledge all materials containing COPRA product screenshots: "Images used courtesy of data M"
• Software Requirements: COPRA RF requires an AutoCAD or BricsCAD license to function which is not part of the Academic license
• Associated Costs:
  • Hardlock Deposit: €100 (refundable upon return of the hardlock)
  • Shipping Costs: Insured DHL shipping (costs vary by destination)
  • Training: Optional online training available at an additional cost
• Exclusive “data M Educational Logo” for Successful Candidates. Awarded only to those who successfully complete the program, this prestigious branding can be used in papers and faculty pages.
