A Comprehensive View on Roll Forming with COPRA FEA RF

Roll forming processes can get complex and comprise many stations. The same applies to COPRA FEA RF simulations. To reduce calculation times, the strategy, from the beginning, has been to simulate only a portion of the sheet. A portion that must be long enough to capture the forming nuances and interactions between stations but short enough to ensure that calculations times do not make simulating roll forming impractical. As a consequence, users, when post-processing simulation results, do not easily get an overview over the complete roll forming line.

This has changed now with COPRA FEA RF 2024.1.

Topics

In this COPRA virtual conference, Miguel Pereira will present the new “RF Line Results” feature that allows users to view the complete roll forming line, introducing a new way to analyze simulation results. New versions of COPRA FEA RF are equipped with tools that gather a portion of the sheet per simulated station and combines them, offering a more comprehensive view over the entire forming process as well as post-processing results that were not available in the past.

Furthermore, current development topics will be presented. Participants will get a first glance at what future versions of COPRA FEA RF might bring and are being encouraged to tell their wishes and requests for future versions.

Join the next Virtual Conference and learn how COPRA FEA RF gives you a holistic understanding of the entire process and helps identify potential issues and optimize your tooling.

Following the 20-minutes presentation, our team is looking forward to answering your questions during a 10-minutes Q&A session.
